PREWAX PRE-TREATMENT WAX

PREWAX is a specially developed pre-treatment wax for auto bodies. It is applied in order to protect metal seams that have previously been treated using FERTAN Rust Converter. PREWAX leaves a fine, extremely stable wax layer that penetrates into crevices. An addtionaly final coat of Underbody Protection Wax UBS 220 should be applied to underbodies, and cavities, sills, etc. should receive a final coating of HT Cavity Protection Wax.

PREWAX's penetrating power insures that even overlapping sheets of metal and compounds are well protected at their welds and seams. The product can also be sprayed on to metal as a final protective coating, leaving behind a very thin but stable film. Residues are easily removed with mineral spirits.

APPLICATION: Spray directly onto folds or metal overlaps from a short distance. For cavities, sills, etc. use the included 4mm applicator probe to spray directly into the cavity, allowing for slow and complete penetration. Penetration should be clearly visible at welds and overlaps. Because of the viscosity of the product, some run-off should be expected. Cover the floor during application and clean off residue as soon as possible with mineral spirits.

HT CAVITY PROTECTION WAX

500ml spray / 1 litre can / 5 litre can

HT Cavity wax is a specially formulated combination of wax and resin that ensures the protective wax coating will adhere sidewalls and the tops of cavities even at high temperatures (up to 120° C). These specifications come from extensive field research in Europe in Northern Africa, where extreme conditions led to cavity temperatures of up to 105° C.

Transparent cavity  is the most useful thing to use inside chassis members and voids.  Nothing else allows the areas to be inspected.  There is little point in having an endoscope to just view opaque black gloop.

HT Wax adheres firmly to the surfaces, remains flexible, has a very long service life and is extremely stable at higher temperatures so it does not creep and pool.

The 500ml is an aerosol with long flexible extension with a rose on the end.  This allows access to, and good coverage of, chassis members etc. even if you are operating without a compressor.

FERTAN® BP527 PROTEWAX

Glass Clear Protection
Vehicle and machinery coating

400ml spray / 1 litre can / 5 litre can

BP527 is a poly-acrylic wax with a wide range of commercial and domestic uses.

Commercially it is used by vehicle manufacturers, including Fiat and Alfa Romeo, to provide a long term protective coating to vehicles for transport and storage.

Machinery manufacturers use it to protect equipment during export transport and for long term storage.

BP527 has a life of several years but can be easily and cleanly removed with its 'antidote'.

BP527 is ideal protection for aluminium tanks, bumpers, window and door frames and the decorative chrome and aluminium on tractor units.  It

provides an excellent coating for cleaned aluminium and chromed wheels.

If the aluminium is oxidised then clean it first with Gabrostone H102.  This will remove the oxidisation and return the metal to a bright surface.

BP 527 is applied with normal airless spraying equipment.  The wet film thickness is 40-60 micron and this dries to a 6-10 micron dry film in three to five minutes.   A single coating is all that is required.
